Do you often wish that you could get more writing done?
Do you dream of sitting and writing every day while your income from your book sales (and income from your website) grows on a daily basis?
If that's what you want (and don't we all want that?) then why isn't it happening?
The answer is simple.
It's all about how much you write.
Your wriing output.
It's a matter of mathematics. The more writing you do, the more money you can make.
Successful writers are prolific writers. It sometimes seems as though ink flows through their veins.
The great writing teacher, Michael Masterson, said that to get good at something you need to do it for 1,000 hours. To master it, you need to do it for 5,000 hours.
And that's true when it comes to writing. The more you write, the more books you can publish.
And the writing also become easier the more you do it.
It's like anything else we do in life.
I'm currently teaching my teenage daughter to drive. She's a bag of nerves behind the wheel and is amazed by my confident driving.
But driving, just like most things, is all about practice. The more we do it, the better we get as our confidence grows.
And writing is no different.
The more you write, the easier it becomes.
At first, writing seems hard. You sit down with a blank page and a blank mind.
Eventually ideas come.
After a while (weeks/months) it's hard not to write because you have so many new ideas of what to write.
And writing becomes a breeze as your output and your confidence grows. It's almost as though writing is a muscle and the more you work it, the stronger it becomes.
Also, the more writing you do, the more publishing you do and your writing income can increase phenominally.
So instead of being a meek little mouse, afraid to put finger to keyboard or pen to paper for fear of offending someone or being scared of criticism, start a daily writing routine. A time every day when you sit down and write, even if you don't know what to write. Just sit down and soon ideas will come.
A few minutes of writing today can end up as a few hours every day and before you know it, you're a writing-whirlwind who has a website with milions of visitors and a whole library of published books.
Stop dreaming the writing dream.
