A few weeks ago I was listening to an audio recording of an interview of a person who says he makes more money online using short videos.
I’ve never made any videos so I don’t know if what he was saying is true or not, but it seemed to be working for him.
He said he doesn’t get in front of the camera. Instead he makes Powerpoint files of his articles and sales pages and talks over them to create a video.
The videos are only a few minutes long. He said that they help because he embeds them into his site and they keep visitors there longer, which is something that Google likes when it comes to indexing web pages.
He also said it creates more sales for him because some people like to learn by watching a video not by reading a sales page or an article.
Making each video doesn’t take much time because they are short. And because he does them a lot, he has an easy repeatable pattern for making them.
Now I’m not a video creating person, nor am I really great at making Powerpoint slide presentations. But I am now thinking about going down this avenue and if I can’t do them myself, maybe I’ll get someone else to do them for me.
But it is something worth looking into if you are good at making Powerpoint files and narrating short videos.
Not only that, but apparently there is a whole bunch of people using online video not just for simple videos, but for huge product launches and more.
